# Show AI what good looks like

Original 5HO practice material. Fictional example. Reviewed 5 October 2026.

## Useful result

You'll finish with a draft that follows the useful pattern without copying facts from the example.

An example can show the tone you mean faster than “make it more professional”. Choose a short piece you are allowed to reuse and tell AI what to learn from it. The facts still come from today’s brief.

## Set up

Set aside 15 minutes. Use the invented before-and-after below, so no customer writing or third-party style needs to be copied.

## Practice input

Style sample: Quick update: the draft is ready. Jo is checking the figures. I’ll share the checked version afterwards. New facts: venue options collected; capacity not confirmed; Lee will ask the venues.

## Do the task

1. Explain that the sample demonstrates structure and tone only.
2. Ask for a fresh update using the new facts.
3. Compare the draft for accidental carry-over of Jo, figures or sharing commitments.

## Prompt

Study the sample’s short sentences and direct structure. Write a new update using only the new facts. Do not reuse its people, dates or commitments.

## Refine

Show which details came from the style sample and which came from the new notes. Remove any sample fact that slipped into the draft.

## Expected checks

The new update should mention Lee and unconfirmed capacity. It must not refer to Jo checking figures, because that belonged to the example.

## Save

Save the sample with a label saying “style only”, alongside your checked new update.
