# Canva AI for practical business content

Original 5HO practice material. Fictional example. Reviewed 5 October 2026.

## Useful result

You'll finish with a draft asset checked against the approved brief and brand rules.

Use Canva AI to get to a draft faster, then give the words and layout a proper check. A beautiful poster with the wrong date is still an excellent way to confuse people.

## Set up

Allow 25–35 minutes in Canva. AI features and usage allowances depend on the plan and team settings. If Magic Write is unavailable, paste a checked text draft into an ordinary template.

## Practice input

Fictional poster: free repair workshop, 16 October, 10 am, Community Room B, 12 places, booking required. Use forest green, pale blue and a simple readable heading. Do not invent a booking URL.

## Do the task

1. Draft concise copy from the approved facts before generating visual variations.
2. Use Canva’s available writing/design controls or a regular template to arrange it.
3. Check the small-screen view and export the actual file to inspect text, margins and links.

## Prompt

Draft poster copy under 45 words from these facts. Use a clear heading, date, time, location and booking instruction. Leave the missing booking link as a labelled placeholder, not a fake URL.

## Refine

Remove decorative phrases that compete with the date and booking action. Keep the capacity visible and do not add claims about refreshments.

## Expected checks

Every factual detail must match the brief. Replace the booking placeholder with the real approved destination before sharing. Treat generated images as illustrations, not proof that an event happened.

## Save

Save the editable Canva design and checked export. Keep the approved brief attached to the design notes.
